3月4日和3月8日，塞爾維亞財政部部長、中國與中東歐“17+1”合作機制塞爾維亞政府協調人西尼沙·馬利專門致信紫金礦業集團、塞爾維亞紫金銅業、塞爾維亞紫金礦業和福建省外辦，以表彰紫金礦業和福建省外辦在塞抗擊新冠肺炎疫情的鬥爭中，爲加強塞中兩國同舟共濟的鋼鐵情誼做出的巨大貢獻。

據了解，2020年，新冠肺炎疫情在全球爆發並持續，歐洲地區疫情嚴重並反復肆虐。作爲在塞爾維亞投資的跨國礦業公司，紫金礦業秉承“開發礦業、造福社會”理念，積極履行社會責任，通過駐塞企業向塞國中央政府、伏伊伏丁那省、波爾市、馬伊丹佩克市及周邊社區等捐贈檢測設備、防疫物資。其中，紫金礦業及其他中方夥伴捐建的塞爾維亞“火眼”醫學實驗室，提高了塞爾維亞的整體檢測能力，受到塞國媒體廣泛報道和好評。
On March 4, Siniša Mali, Finance Minister of Serbia, and Serbian Government’s coordinator for the 17+1 cooperation mechanism between China and CEE countries, sent a letter of appreciation to Zijin Mining Group, Serbia Zijin Copper, Serbia Zijin Mining and Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, in recognition of the significant contribution made by Zijin and the Foreign Affairs Office to Serbia’s fight against Covid-19.
